DR. ANDY HAWARI
Dr. Hawari was born and raised in Cisco, Texas. He completed his Associates Degree from Cisco Junior College, and in 1984 he received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin. Dr. Hawari attended the University of Missouri - College of Optometry in St. Louis, where he was part of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Dr. Hawari joined Mineola Eyecare immediately upon graduation. For the past 27 years Dr. Hawari has actively served and participated in the community, Chamber of Commerce, Mineola Lions Club, Grace Community Healthcare Ministries, and church. Currently, Dr. Hawari actively volunteers time and equipment to Grace Community Healthcare Ministries by suppling exams and eyeglasses to those in need. Other mission work includes the Remar Orphanage in La Libertad, El Salvador. He and his family have served the past two years in mission by helping a friend launch a new church in Denton, Texas.
Dr. Hawari is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Society and East Texas Optometric Society. Additionally, he has served three years as the president for the East Texas Optometric Society.
Dr. Hawari enjoys spending his time with his long-time wife, Debra, son, Zachary, and his "princess" daughter, Breanna. Pastimes include playing golf and DIY projects.
